Steve Batkin - Saturday. 6.10.2018. Local Members Of Parliament Are Also Newspaper Columnists. In A Good Position To Give Public A Pack Of Lies For Votes! Above image centre with spectacles on is my local Member of Parliament for Stoke Central Gareth Snell who's also a newspaper columnist for the only local city of Stoke-on-Trent newspaper The Sentinel which covers not just Stoke-on-Trent but parts of both the Staffordshire and Cheshire counties area of England as well. Please don't be fooled because The Sentinel is local, this does not mean it's owned by ordinary local people -- unfortunately far from it! It's actually owned by a big business corporation called Reach plc which owns hundreds of newspapers throughout Britain and is of course part of the City meaning the small financial area of Britain's capital London. This is where a tiny amount of people being Britain's very wealthy 'elite' make financial investments through the stock exchange into banks, land, industry, house/road building companies and of course the vital media essential for mind control and pacifying the public by means of false promises and sometimes even shocking lies! Historically Reach plc has been involved in phone hacking scandals and the payment of public officials for inside information resulting in criminality with informants going to prison and compensation pay outs. Back to Mr Snell and his privileged newspaper columnist position which was granted to him as a Labour Party MP 'socialist' by Reach plc with this company being comprised of City super capitalist stock holders who're rich people and supposedly supporters of the Conservatives (Tories). Anyway Mr Snell wants Stoke-on-Trent's City Council to borrow money at interest from City investors and at the same time sell them public land to raise money to build council houses; simultaneously he also wants to encourage more private house building on public land or any other land for that matter; bedroom tax on single people who live in two bedroom accommodation; no doubt an above inflation rise in existing council house rents to help pay the loans off! This's all so cities like Stoke-on-Trent can help solve Britain's housing crisis: needless to say his newspaper columns don't mention the fact his political party's policies have helped to cause the housing crisis in the first place! In typical bizarre fashion as a Labour Party MP he blames the Tories even though they both have exactly the same housing policies! What he does mention in his The Sentinel column, he writes: "Labour's Shadow Secretary of State for housing John Healey has promised to build one million affordable new homes". He goes on to say: "Stoke-on-Trent has a plethora of brownfield sites that are ripe to build on". This quite simply isn't true! The only way you could build a large amount of dwellings which the Labour Party have in mind would be to build upwards like high rise flats which over the years many politicians from all political parties have said are not fit to live in. In Birmingham some of these high rise flats although still relatively new have been demolished with controlled explosives (911 style) because the Labour Party run council said they weren't fit for human habitation. Back to reality while I was recently walking through my local heritage and wildlife park (Berryhill) which is in Mr Snell's constituency I bumped into the warden and had an interesting conversation with him: he told me that the land attached to the nature reserve which the River Trent runs through (green public and private land not brown land) has been ear marked for building houses; the people who keep many horses on the land have been told to move off! I've been expecting this for some time and as a former Stoke-on-Trent City Council elected councillor I'm currently looking into the details of this development, I will subsequently then post the information on this website when I find out the exact facts. What I can say for sure is the land is definitely green and contains much wildlife, otters, badgers, foxes, weasels, hares, rabbits, peregrine falcons, buzzards, ravens, short eared owls, merlins etc. these animals and birds will obviously be lost because the area of green land will become too small and noise polluted to support them. I will be soon contacting Mr Snell about this development and asking him why he's telling the public/voters only brown land sites will be built on with quality housing?
